TB stops PNG's goal its goal to end poverty.
Poverty causes TB and TB causes poverty. B4H did NOT say only poor people get TB! Any one can get TB. With 42,000 new cases a year, TB places enormous financial and social burdens on people, businesses, and government. The cost of one person being diagnosed with Tuberculosis can be catastrophic for a family. Learn more 7676 2482
Tuberculosis is a hungry disease.
TB causes malnutrition and poor nutrition drives high rates of TB, particularly for children and older adults.
Last year of the 42, 000 new cases of TB in PNG over 10,000 were children. For PNG, ending hunger, achieving food security and improving nutrition will help end TB.
Improving PNG's health demands us to find, test and cure infectious diseases like TB. We will end the 5000 deaths a year from TB when we all to learn to find, test, support and cure every person with TB every year. This year if every business can help us to find, test, support and treat just one of the 42,000 new TB cases expected this year, we can end TB!
n PNG, we need workplaces to also provide inclusive and equitable health education, to promote lifelong health protection and learn about access to free TB services. Without strong literacy or numeracy mastering the complex clinical pathways, managing and adhering to long courses of treatment for TB is tricky. In PNG workplace education reaches families and community. Employees can learn to share information about how smoking, poor diets, lack of physical activity, diabetes, high blood pressure and STIs all work together to drive high rates of TB. Our workplace TB wardens training supports your ongoing TB program. #endtb #coveryourcough for information about B4H workplace TB education call TB toll free info line 7676 2482 https://youtu.be/y3gZ8A9N6y0
